Robert has had his poetry featured, as well as acted, in several short films by the Mexican director Octavio Maya Rocha, including Ascending Volumes, inspired by a painting by Mark Kostabi (Guns N’ Roses Use Your Illusion, Ramones Adios Amigos) with music by Jay Rodriguez Sierra (Groove Collective, Wu-Tang Clan), and La Llamada-NYC (The Call-NYC), where a visual artist (Mark Kostabi), a musician (Gene Pritsker - Matrix Resurrections, Joe Zawinul) and a poet (Robert) attempt to bring light to the darkness of the COVID-19 pandemic through their art.

He also acted in The Arrival, a one-shot point-of-view short film by vioinist Lara St. John and scored for chamber music by Gene Pritsker, which was released in 2021 and shown at several silent film festivals.
